Immature Stages of Eumenidae

Detailed information on immature stages of Eumenidae is being acquired.  However, Clausen (1940) noted that the eggs are usually  a bit elongated and bear a stalk at one end which in some species is longer than the egg body and by means of which it may be suspended from the wall of the cell.  The newly hatched larva may retain its attachment to the eggshell for a period after hatching.
